Meeting face to face in Washington with representatives of the House and the Senate was critical to our concerns with tariffs and other common issues, and demonstrating how resolving this matter is to our mutual benefit.

This week I had the pleasure of travelling to Washington as part of my work as a Vice-Chair of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group (CEUS). It was an important visit during this critical juncture for our two nations & our long history of cooperation and respect.

Though the #InvictusGames are over, legacies will carry on. The focus remains on athletes & their families as they continue their health and healing journeys. Thank you athletes, coaches, families, volunteers & sponsors. So many worked hard to make this special in every way. Thank you Canada!

As the Invictus Games comes to a close, each Invictus athlete participated in a Coast Salish blanket honour ceremony. This ceremony symbolizes respect, strength and community support, all of which dominated the past 8 days. A perfect games highlight. Thank you, each of you. #InvictusGames

At Whistler beautiful service dogs greeted us. Another day of luge, nordic and sitski. Wonderful always to see all competitors join together at the finish line. Another great day with many regiment, navy and artillery bands performing. #invictusgames

Although it was much quieter on the Hill this year for Ski Day, our visiting young skiers from Vancouver still enjoyed their time with a visit and a tour of Parliament. Lots of snow and ice skating this year. Get out and enjoy!

#InvictusGames; another great day of curling, wheelchair basketball, a chat with the Minister of Veteran’s Affairs and a daylong session focused on Veterans transition to employment. Four fantastic, informative panels. We also had a tour of command headquarters for Invictus Games security.
