I’ve been in a boiling hot office all day, and it’s finally raining. Much better.

Look at this cool moth! According to my resident entomologist, this is a poplar hawk moth.

I planted out my courgette plant. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve grown them, I’m looking forward to some home grown veg.

Today’s warm parkrun was lovely. Saw loads of fluffy little goslings, had some quality time with my husband, and finished in a pretty average time for this year. I’m taking that as a win.

It’s a warm morning, so the parkrun plan is to enjoy the view and keep putting one foot in front of the other

The last item on my work to-do list for the last couple of days has been “get my shit together”. Really hoping today is the day I manage it.

Today was a beautiful morning for parkrun. The sun was shining, we saw at least four clutches of goslings, and I got my second best time this year.

I was going to go for a walk after I finished work, but I sat on the sofa for a moment and now I have a cat on me, so I guess this is me until she wants feeding

Some of the highlights of our garden clear out

After a couple of years in our house, we finally got a skip to get rid of some of the garden statues, water features, and random chunks of concrete that came with our house. The garden looks so much bigger without it all.

Today’s race was very hilly in places but I’m so pleased with how far I’ve come in the last 18 months. I’m now sat with the cat on my lap and a cup of tea just out of reach.

I’m doing a 10k this morning, it’s my first running race in three years because of moving house and being ill. I’m enjoying all of my old rituals, including my favourite pre-run breakfast of a PBJ, a banana, and a big cup of tea.

Sunday afternoon feet up with my gal

Husband is on his way home after being away for work again for the last couple of weeks. I’ll be doing parkrun this morning and then we should both be back around the same time, ready to veg out and catch up.

I was excited last night when I noticed the security light was on out front. Peeped out the window expecting to see some lovely wildlife, and it was just some numpty’s dog off the lead being nosy.

Cold pizza for breakfast

My husband is away for work again, so I’m having the most cosy evening possible. I’ve had a bath and ordered a posh vegan pizza, now watching tv with a candle.

It’s funny, valentines day falls quite close to the anniversary of the day Dr Veg and I had our first drunken snog, but we don’t celebrate either date.
