There's a weird little force feedback tweak in either the Moza wheel software or American Truck Sim that produces a small *thunk* in the wheel when changing gears. The tiniest of details, but it feels *great*.

I turned down the LOD/draw distance slider in real life and now cloud textures aren't rendering properly.

Sometimes I see reviews that use strong slang that sound insulting at first, but actually mean something positive. If I don’t know the slang, I get confused about whether they’re praising or criticizing the game.

I'm sure it mashes sense to people who've been playing the game for years and seen the ecosystem grow over that time, but the Fortnite front-end is so hostile for new users. We've been playing LEGO Fortnite off and on for a while and I still sometimes lose track of the icon on the first screen.

Even today 70 Minutes of Madness gets all the accolades, but in my opinion this is the better release. Spans gangster rap, abstract hip-hop, '70s uneasy listening, spoken word science fiction, drum 'n' bass, jazz, latin carnival cheese and late-'90s electronic music. Very Solid Steel.

It's a bummer that DJ mix CDs and downloadable mixes have largely been replaced by streaming, podcasts and limited run mixtapes. Pretty as they might be, cassettes in particular are baffling to me; please, just let me buy a digital download.

My parents saved throughout the eighties to provide us a more comfortable nineties. They always kept our family home looking nice, redecorating frequently after we left, but a tall, multi-floor house at the top of steep steps was always going to be too treacherous for their twilight years.

Was going to write a bit about how the only "big" representation my generation of Brits used to have online was TV Cream . . . . . . and that was how I discovered TV Cream no longer exists.

The mid-1980s was a fantastic time for video games in Europe, with an industry in rude health across a range of formats. Here in the UK, the NES barely registered at first. I think I know one person who owned one. And we didn’t see a gaming crash. Things just… carried on. 2/2

Really starting to get tired of the internet claim that the video game crash obliterated gaming and then the NES swooped in to save us all. That’s to some degree the case in the USA (although not the entire story), but isn’t remotely the experience people in eg Europe had at the time. 1/2

The Taken Treasure scenario in BeamNG is so good. As in, it should be a standalone game--a Crazy Taxi-esque arcade game! A modern, stripped down version of Driver or a GTA mission in which you drive to escape the police, crashing through roadblocks, etc. But with BeamNG physics!
