The innovations in Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades 2 are genuinely exciting. Taking an exhaustive gun sim and adding a load of real world detail it absolutely was not missing, stuff nobody else has done, to really push the envelope in what is potentially VR's last hurrah (for now).

The new sharpening filter for Quest Games Optimizer is incredible. Made Half-Life Alyx look better--and more realistic--than it ever has. I'd somehow never noticed that some of the gloopy bio-growths turn translucent even you get near, just like the facehugger egg in Alien!

Judging from my son's end of year report his teacher never noticed that he can read. Her grading was in line with the software they have children use to supplement in-class tuition. Kids are not allowed to progress beyond the level allotted by the school district as it's considered "unfair".

I finished the first book of Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives for the second time and the ending was not at all how I remembered it. I think guessing how it would end the *first* time I read it created such a strong memory, it overrid the actual memory of reading it? Very Mandela Effect.
