A couple of days back I decided I would be dithering images ✨️as an aesthetic✨️ for my site. A few tests later, and I'll have to have drop that idea. They end up flickering too much when I scroll the page - to the point I feel a bit nauseous 😅

Making a spreadsheet because tomorrow I'm diving deeper into dithering images 😵‍💫 I should note I am not using dithering for compression, though I did get excited for the reduction in file size earlier. I believe there is much better options for that, like WebP or AVIF.

Some dithering tests to see how I want it to look on my pages. Mono Dither Remove White Remove BG, +Border 398kb down to 48kb! (More if I compress it) What I like about the final result is that it can have any background, colour overlay, and the "cutout effect" means it can be placed anywhere.

Fighting off a migraine and the incompetence of a delivery courier 😩 I used to work within a courier network too, so I know full well you didn't try to contact me on phone you lying shit lol. We waited all day for that delivery window too, now it's at risk of getting sent back.
