One of the big things I've noticed -- and why I'm such a big proponent of EVs -- is how much less smog there is. Seoul has far less smog than Tokyo.

Once you see open-ended subway cars, you wonder why everyone doesn't use them.

As an American, I look at the construction plans for Seoul's subway and light rail lines and just weep -- basically, something new in terms of either a line, a line extension, or new infill stations coming online every other month for the next 10 years.

Our tour guide to the DMZ told us about how Seoul has astronomical housing prices, and how Korean leaders are adding 1.35 *million* new homes between now and 2030, but it's not enough. As Americans, our thought was, can South Korea just annex and run the United States?
