After a good talk with my wrist doctor, we both agree that surgery is the best course of action. It'll be a long process, but given my age and the fact we caught it early, it's better than seeing if nature takes its course and 10 years later I'm in a far worse spot. So, next step: booking surgery.

So, doctor visit reconfirmed my suspicions about my wrist. I can either leave it as is, let it heal on its own and try a cast (or keep using my brace), and all but guarantee arthritis in 10-30 years, or get surgery, which MIGHT lead to arthritis and will result in pins in my arm for 3 months.

Saw a hand doctor today to look at my wrist. Hurt it about a month ago and never quite got better. It's likely a ligament tear. I'll need an MRI to determine how bad it is, but surgery (and potential arthritis) are looking very likely in the future. So...yeah. Ouchie. 😭
