No one tells you that the worse type of kids to raise…are your parents. They’re hard-headed as FAWK.

But the irony is, answering the call will regulate the inner and outer struggles. The outer struggles are a direct result of what’s going on internally AS A RESULT of not strengthening my relationship within.

It’s crazy to have a power you are completely oblivious to. And once I realized what it was I didn’t understand it and I still don’t. Eventually I’ll answer the call. Right now, I’m just regulating my nervous system on a day-to-day basis with the outer struggles I’m facing.

The levels of gaslighting I experienced in a myriad of friendships was a direct reflection of me not being honest with myself. My highest form is authenticity and I was around folks who were trapped in their traumas. The disruptor in me was going to rock the boat, whether I wanted to or not.

And then you add in the layers of social constructs, the authenticity crisis, and the extra fucked up layer of social media masking, and I find it hard to not ignore the bullshit. ON TOP OF of being an energy reader/magnet and MAN.

After learning about how my brain works, I gave myself grace for all the masking and self-preservation I did as a form of protection. It’s still very hard to reconcile that with allowing folks to get close to me. Hell…it took me bf 2 years before I fully let go with him.

I was chatting with a friend I haven’t spoken to in a while and he said I misunderstand his intentions as my friend. I told him I’m navigating through a traumatic lens with friendships and it wasn’t personal. He thanked me for being honest and I let my guard down a smidge lmao.

It’s funny how I was labeled a narcissist once I woke up and stopped catering to the bullshit. And this came from a person who literally stated she wants people to worship her. The jokes write themselves.

And to be completely transparent, I went nuclear on an ex who wasn’t even cheating on me. He was just scared of me lmao. I learned a LOT about myself during that relationship and he and I laugh about it every blue moon lol.

But my hoe phase was glorious. I truly didn’t love them niggas. And folks couldn’t understand how detached I was. I didn’t lie to myself. Some I did like but hey…I enjoyed them for the moments and moved on. I knew it was a temporary time and lived in the moment fully.

But I realized all of my friends at the time were women who centered men as their only source of fulfillment. I didn’t fit into that narrative. No shade cuz it’s a thing with a lot of women. My neuro-spicy brain can’t focus on one thing lmao.

I used to be friends with a woman who openly dated married men but she was the product of a failed marriage due to a philandering husband. It’s a thing, just ain’t my thing.

Ain’t no way I’m going back & forth with a side chick. It becomes more than just about the marriage. Ego & pride gets mixed into it and that takes you down a dark hole that I’ve seen before. Don’t want to see that shit ever again. I’m good.

I’ve never experienced being cheated on to this capacity, but I promised myself a long time ago that no man was worth it. And I don’t have kids to make the decision harder. Amen.
