Putin is so desperate for cash he has started stealing from his own oligarchs. One of the richest men in Russia, gold magnate Konstantin Strukov was blocked from fleeing Russia after Putin announced his empire was going to be nationalised. War is very expensive.

America has vetoed another UN Security Council proposal for an unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. The proposal would also allow for all humanitarian aid to enter the area, and for all hostages to be released. The US blocked the proposal from passing, saying that it would embolden Hamas.

I know I’m being silly, but I find myself conflicted. I watch the news, and am furious about what Trump is doing. I then watch the snooker, and can’t help but hope that Judd Trump wins the snooker world championship. He’s a lovely guy despite his name.
