The first paper of my PhD is out!😊 We conducted a in vivo seed-sowing experiment with 8 tree species in the Tropical Dry Forest, showing that seed size mediates the effects of environmental filters on recruiting seedlings.🌱☀️

Heute ist der Tag des "Unkrauts" (Weed Appreciation Day), eine Gelegenheit, die oft übersehenen und missverstandenen Pflanzen in unseren Gärten und Grünflächen zu würdigen. Macht Ihr mit? Siehe auch

Can we use tree-related microhabitats (TreMs)🌳 as indicators of

? Our new study led by Giovanni Bianco shows that TreM diversity actually increases with temperature and decreases with human impact on Kilimanjaro 🇹🇿 Now published in Ecological Indicators:

Happy to share that the first paper of my PhD is out! We developed a trait-based framework 🌱🦜 to quantify how plant-frugivore interactions and animal movement shape plant functional connectivity—the dispersal of seeds between habitat patches.
