So, apparently Bluesky PERMANENTLY banned someone for posting a single Charlie Kirk meme. AJ is a fantastic community builder who had a big account & is an adjunct prof at Howard University. The idea that he doesn't even deserve a first warning is absurd.

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason. His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side. Here are the screenshots he just sent me as of 8:22 AM EST(my time)

Yeah um this was wild. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was a moots account & i havent heard of this scam, but yeah they prob got hacked. & the email they sent a screenshot of even has errors and typos 😭

If you aren't familiar with this scam, the person is going to tell you a crock of shit about needing to contact BSKY support via discord, then they'll try getting your account details & getting you to send them money. The initial message for this scam is a bit different than the one on Twitter

I've went ahead and confirmed my age so you can DM me, but this is still so dumb DX There's a petition in the replies of this post that I suggest all UK-based folk sign. Some sites - like Wikipedia is debating on doing - is just outright blocking UK access which is REALLY bad for us artists!!!
