Perhaps I won’t always be excited about grading, but I do really enjoy reading students’ reflections in my classes. It brings me so much joy to see them take course content, make meaning out of it, and apply it to their lives. 🥹 It’s these kinds of things that make this job really great!!

There are many layers here, but I want to comment on one aspect of these findings for now--the editorial board representation. Some will see this and immediately think: we need to get more POC on our boards! I understand that impulse, but encourage you to think a few steps down the game tree 1/n.

🗓️ On Nov. 19, 2014, I got into an ed psych research lab to work Dr. Ellen Usher as an undergrad RA to study students’ motivation. 🕐 10 yrs later, I’m now meeting with students to join my own ed psych research lab!! What a full circle moment…the dream came true 🥹💖
