My daughter says many of her middle school classmates drink coffee regularly. What’s a typical age for kids to start drinking coffee? (I’m not a coffee drinker so I have no idea.)

Am I correct in thinking that “boba” has completely defeated “bubble tea” as the preferred term for the drink in the US? There was a time when it seemed people in different parts of the US used one or the other but now I only hear boba.

Go see SHORTCOMINGS, a brilliant adaptation of Adrian Tomine’s classic graphic novel. Randall Park maintains the book’s witty, acerbic tone but makes the protagonist more sympathetic and human. The meta-commentary on Asian American culture is hilarious, and I squirmed and laughed in equal measure.
