I have begun looking at how I can start forming a project around the work I currently have even if these don’t make it to an end result they work great as footnotes

Sharing "Dumnonia" a short film as a response to the landscape of Dartmoor. This accompanies the wider body of photographic work of the same name.

Been investigating a small stretch of coast in Kent. Lost pets, The Ministry of Defence and the constant hum of electricity. Here's the beautiful Ebony 4x5 I'm shooting on.

Some recent colour pictures I made walking the lanes in Kent. Would like to try printing these, probably on a heavyweight paper to keep the richness in the shadows.

And I once thought the Tudor period boring and having the appeal of cardboard in a tarmac puddle. Thank you for changing my mind. #wolfhall is one of the best series I've had the pleasure of watching, next to the first season of The Terror which is also worth a watch. Outstanding soundtrack too.

This one is from a late autumn walk a year or so ago. Unfortunately most of the trees in the surrounding area had to be felled due to disease known as phytophthora ramorum, but in doing so, the opportunity was presented to improve the structural and species diversity of the area. #everycloud

Felled plantation Nr. Bellever One of my favourite parts of making this new body of work in Dartmoor was dawn strolling past Bellever Tor to the adjacent plantation and slowly seeing these two trunks standing like arboreal monoliths escaping the shroud of mist. www.joecharrington.co.uk/dumnonia

Some behind the scenes of shooting Dumnonia. Trudging across the late-autumn landscape of Dartmoor, it was of prompt clarity to me that this was a landscape that demanded attention, an attention to which I’d never directed toward any landscape I’d stepped upon before.
