I know I'm biased, and I doubt this is factually true, but it does feel to me like Bluesky is one of the nicer social media platforms. I see far less vitriol here than I do on other platforms. Is that the same for you?

If social media has taught me anything, it's that you can't please everyone and that you will inevitably be misinterpreted. It's the nature of the beast, which is a real bummer. But such is life. One thing is sure: Mindful participation pays dividends.

Do you still see movies at the theater? I studied cinema in college and love going to the movies. It's like a church for me, and I do it as often as I can, even though it's becoming less practical. It's a simple joy, and I worry it won't be around forever. Know what I mean?

Wisconsin is a beautiful place, even more so from above. Yesterday, an afternoon flight over the Driftless with friends. What an experience, to see the landscape from on high like this. I've never seen Devils Lake or the Wisconsin River from this perspective. A moving experience.

A double header of British goodness today. First, a morning matinee screening of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, followed by an afternoon episode of The Great British Baking Show. With so much awful shit happening in America right now, these good-spirited English vibes are a much-needed tonic.
