Apparently while I still have ”earned” PTO to use, the intermittent FMLA just gets changed to PTO. The FMLA part of it is that I can’t lose my job for taking PTO for headaches and anxiety attacks.

Bought myself flowers, got the necessary groceries for brunch, and prepped everything else for brunch while husband made pancakes. To be fair, my parents and younger sister were in town so I was preparing brunch for them, too.

My kids are old enough that they can fill out those “all about mom” things for Mother’s Day with the correct information.

Decided to view just the morning with cards, brunch, etc is all the Mother’s Day attention I need because it’s too much pressure on my psyche to want/expect special treatment. Just going to do my usual Sunday afternoon and not demand anything else special.

Was going to go to my college a cappella group’s 25th anniversary concert but it was starting at 9pm, and I would have to drive about an hour to get there, and that‘s just too late for me and I’m just too exhausted.

Sitting. Sitting and watching a live stream of a concert it was going to be too tricky to get to. Sitting and decompressing from almost 2 weeks of solo parenting.

I reminded the kids about the post it notes and now bathrooms are clean.

Kids don’t listen to me. But then they both yell at the other kid to do the thing I told them to do. For example, I tell B to do something, then A yells at them to do that thing, and B gets upset that A is bossing them around. And vice versa. 🫠

Well, the good news is my husband is finally back from his business trip that he started on April 27! 🫠
