I just learned about a rare death in the Uninvited computer version found by Mr. miazma posted in the Steam discussion - you can get hit by lightning. Who knew about this?

This is true - the 2024 version of beyond Shadowgate is the real and ONLY sequel to the NES Shadowgate

This video is worth a watch for people considering indie dev and want to see the high level of one possible project route. I feel like this a realistic assessment of a kickstarted indie studio project. It’s only a 10-min watch and goes more in-depth in another video.

In Beyond Shadowgate, I wanted a hidden death in the forest. There would’ve be a campfire in the woods with a sleeping bag. If you used the bag, you’d be awoken by a gang of ghouls inspired by the GUNSHIP vale of shadows cover

16-bit era has some of the best music, and best music for playing while working, that I’ve come across. I recommend it.

Does anyone else wonder if in #DELTARUNE that Kris and Dess were in an accident caused by Asgore? Kris died and Dess’ soul, given their friendship, was used to bring Kris back, but turned Dess into the Knight?

Gotta make an appreciation thread for Chris Christodoulou’s risk of rain soundtracks. Phenomenal work. Some of my favorites are: precipitation, hailstorm, coalescence, con lentitud poderosa, and having fallen it was blood. Excellent storytelling in those songs too. Thank you Chris!

Hoping to have something new soon for people to play

I was asked why I chose to make a Shadowgate game. One reason I gave is because it’s different. It’s not another FF/souls/zelda/roguelike game. It looks + plays different. It reminds players of when games were diverse. Even though it is a sequel, beyond Shadowgate stands out today.

Beyond Shadowgate is now 30% off! The largest sale since it released. It’s the official and ONLY sequel to the NES Shadowgate. It was made with the original creators. It was a TRUE indie team of 4 people, not 400+, was fully Kickstarted, and no one was laid off.
