But it is a choice because we all get to curate this experience how we choose. Let the energy you give match the person you choose to be. And show up even when it can be uncomfortable to listen and learn. That is how we do better and improve.

I get that social media ain’t real life to a lot of folks. But it is a place where people being open enough to share their real life experiences which can be used to create lessons we take into our lives. That is how community should work. It can’t just be the jokes, sports, and music.

Being in community means having the tough conversations. It means listening to absorb the information not just to add to it. It means really taking the time to be intentional with not repeating the patterns of hurt that people express that they are going through.
