Growing up, I was a huge horse girl but, unfortunately for me, my family lived in the city. Every summer I begged to go to horse camp. Instead, my mom tried to encourage other interests, like the time she sent me to electricity camp. (My transistor radio never worked.)

As a horse girl who is now an adult, of course the main character of my novel is a centaur. But just how horsey is he? A reviewer wrote: "...the author keeps Simarron in character, referring to his hoofsteps instead of footsteps, and the way he experiences the world, through scent and taste...."

I published my first book in September 2025. This year, I sold 66 eBook copies and 29 print copies. Can I sell 5 more books/eBooks before the end of the year and make it to 100 total? #indieauthor #fantasybooks

I've always wanted to have tea with a faun. Some may cringe at the practical effects in the 1988 BBC version of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," but to me they're part of the whimsy. If you could have tea with any magical creature, who would it be?

#Centaurs have long been a symbol of polarity. Savage vs. civilized, reason vs. intellect. Freud saw the centaur as a model for human nature. The human half represented the conscious ego and superego. The horse half symbolized the unconscious id, with its primal drives and impulses. #CentaurSunday

We love polarity in fiction. There’s no better dramatization of internal conflict than Gollum arguing with himself in The Lord of the Rings. Two voices, one soul, locked in a battle for control. I think we resonate with stories like this because we are full of contradictions ourselves.
