I've posted many times about how productive I am on planes. It's confirmation that I need to schedule more quiet time to just think. That's what a plane is for me. Forced time with my thoughts... no distractions.

I'm still here. I have a functional laptop again and am slowly picking up place on my productivity. Despite how stressful it was to not have a laptop, I learned that I can be home, present with family, not working.. and it'll be fine

I 100% needed this post. The last 6 months Ive had joy sucked from my life. I used to post a ton about everything that brought me joy. My fami, my lab science, and just rando things. Then I went social media quiet cause the climate was draining. We do need distractions. That I can do. Im back!

At lab because I have no computer to work from home and grant is due Friday. My 4yo just broke 💔 "I can't believe you're going to work. I wanted you to come home" Typing through tears of letting my baby down. Sometimes #academia just sucks

Broke my $2000 laptop I bought in February after my laptop broke.. got quoted $1500 to fix it. Wtf. Maybe I'll just forget having a laptop. Just tired 😫 Gotta keep focusing on the cool #science the #Nicholaslab is doing cause everything else is chaos

Just watched my @KeckGrad masters student give the commencement speech. I'm beyond proud. I'm inspired and have renewed hope through the success of our graduates that show leadership and fight for a better tomorrow.

#Nicholaslab student left her poster for @UCIrvine #urop by the door last night and couldn't find it today for her presentation. The lab manager came through and found it in the dumpster!! Crisis averted!
