Recieved a dog update - they're having a fine day. 😄 It's good that they're looked after because for me this has been an exceptionally busy emergency-calls week with severe thunderstorms every night. I would have needed to leave them unsupervised for ~16 hours at least and that's way too long. 🫤

I walked around the local fireworks stand today. The kids running it were having cigarettes a few safety steps away and an older fellow was browsing with a small bottle of cognac in his hand - upset by the higher firework prices. It will be a busy July fourth.

All that coal ash covers about the same acreage onsite as our token photovoltaic farm. 🫤 The number of coal trains it must have taken to build those grass-covered stacks seems incredible.

We were out bike riding tonight and rolled up on a coyote in the sidewalk. It started to flee after a little shouting then changed its mind, turned and ran after us. 😮 Put some distance between each other before turning to watch. Seemed interested in heading west but turned back to the airport. 🤔
