It’s 89 seconds to midnight, and Doechii’s Anxiety is playing softly in the background. A blog I wrote for Atomic Anxiety, New START, Who Dis? Living with Atomic Anxiety 2.0 explores what it means to live through the remix of the nuclear age.

Watching A House of Dynamite hit hard. It exposes how fragile the nuclear decision chain is, one button, one person, and unimaginable consequences. No individual should hold that power. Nuclear weapons have no place in humanity’s future.

We welcome the readiness by Russia & the US to adhere to the

limits for a year after expiry. More nuclear weapons won’t make anyone safer – neither the US, nor Russia nor the rest of the world. Let us use this time to get to deeper cuts through a new agreement.

Now seems like an appropriate moment to remind you that the United States plans to spend almost $2 trillion in the coming years refurbishing or replacing our existing nuclear weapons.

I submitted my PhD. thesis for examination today! The journey to this moment has been interesting and eye-opening. I started this PhD. with absolutely no clue how I was going to pay for it. I wasn't given funding, no loans, zero nothing. But somehow, it all worked out.

1/ March 1st marks 71 years since the U.S. detonated the Castle Bravo bomb at Bikini Atoll, the largest nuclear test in its history. Today, the Marshallese people continue to suffer from its devastating impact. Nuclear Victims Remembrance Day is on this date to honour those affected.

Three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion. Ukraine’s resilience has shown the world: stand up to bullies, do not fold. The fight for freedom is global. We are all Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!

Vance criticizing freedom of speech in Europe (but not Russia) and Trump calling Zelensky a dictator (but not Putin) should be illuminating for many who still prefer not to see the upshot of what’s happening. But it won’t.

Vance & Hegseth both looked like clowns 🤡. Put being unprepared aside, one should be able to read the room that should be easy right - they failed that too. Shame
