Slight nuance: Salesforce moving away from *Generative* AI, not from AI completely. They're moving away from the unreliability of LLMs. But they're moving towards data + deterministic AI.

One reason to go with the MDX4600 instead of the 2600 for a mastering use is that it’s 4 channel instead of 2. So you can chain one stereo pair into the other, distributing load when limiting during mastering.

Was reading this morning that CS majors are having a hard time getting their first job "because of AI." The same article quoted someone lucky enough to get a job saying it was like working 3 jobs at once. If AI were displacing programmers, why are they now forced to work 3x as much? This is not AI.

Auditioning a radio play for usable material is a whole different ballgame compared to auditioning sample CDs. Much more time intensive.

Enshittification: when the ‘play’ button in your kids game is translated to ‘toneelstuk’ (a theatre play) because no one could be bothered to have more than machine generated translations. It’s all slop all day in the next few years.
