my Y11 Foundation class quite desperately need to work on angles reasoning so we started by dumping everything we know about angles onto this knowledge organiser (is this what this is??) -esque page before working on some exam questions.

I love seeing misconceptions I havent before. Quite a few of my Y7s have done this in a test, because some muppet (me) has probably advised them to go diagonally through the grid for y=x

Right i've immediately made a change to this. I've put in a grid with dashed lined to cut after an experience with my year 8s in which many of them delicately cut around every circle and thus took FOREVER to cut them out. You may only cut along the dashed lines.

Teacher Tapp - if you haven't given it a go, I really recommend it. 3:30pm every day you get 3ish questions through about teaching, and the next day see the results from the other 10k tea herself that answered. Its great and if you use this link I get £5

I saw someone the other day post something similar to this At the end of each question I have put hints as to what the marks on the mark scheme are for. I have done this for one of the Edexcel Foundation Mock Sets and think my group will find it useful as a scaffold.

Edexcel QuickSort - students choose the central value as a pivot OR the right of the two if there are two central values. I heard a rumour on the grapevine it is the left of the two for AQA and different in other exam boards... Can anyone confirm/deny/clarify?

Wednesday's TGT takes a look at Rosa Parks. I hope many will know her story already. But it's interesting to note she wasn't the first to defy the racist segregation of Montgomery's buses, but civil rights leaders did think she was the right person to be the face of change.
