Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

The live action ATLA is a joke. Casting is good, but the writing is horrible. They turned a perfect episode about Zuko, and made him do something he would never do. Like did you miss the meaning? Did you even watch it? The Toph metal bending is scene wash and don't get me started on Azula.
