Been thinking about this a lot. Been running into the "asset stripping" thing with healthy food companies since the 2010's. The do exactly this. It's why Joann's doesn't exist, & many other companies. It's even happening to the personal trainer company I was using. THEY'RE DOING IT TO EVERYTHING!

In 2025, 370,140 accounts were flagged with a "needs-review" label in 2025 to combat large-scale spam and automated bot behavior. Apparently there are some pretty heavily racist accounts here as well. @bsky.app has approx. 226 employees. So yeah, don't hold your breath.

I commented on a friend's post here and seconds later, one of these accounts (the "affinity scams" I made a separate post about) reposted it.

Here's a post about "Affinity scams". I had people that follow my friends here comment or REPOST my short replies twice yesterday. They are bots who have a NINE MINUTE life cycle. They get removed, they come back. Fucking WILD. And it's yet another crazy reason that using @bsky.app is IMPOSSIBLE.
