DARK RENAISSANCE by Stephen Greenblatt (W. W. Norton & Co.) is a fascinating bio of Christopher Marlowe and a memorable portrait of the Elizabethan era. I was once again blown away by what Greenblatt can accomplish with the fragmentary historical record. #LibFaves25 Day 3

#LibFaves25 - Day 4 LIVING IN THE PRESENT WITH JOHN PRINE by Tom Piazza is a shining star of a book, a brief account of a brief but deep friendship between the author and the singer-songwriter. This book made me miss JP all over again and sent me back to his quirky, beautiful albums.

Day 3 of #LibFaves25: either it’s a dark satire of one or a straight-up horror novel, but whichever the case, VICTORIAN PSYCHO by Virginia Feito is an unforgettable bloody romp about a governess with very bad intentions. Not for the squeamish. Couldn’t stop thinking about this one for months.

It's day 1 of #LibFaves25 🥳 My list is in no particular order. First pick: VICTORIAN PSYCHO by Virginia Feito. I absolutely loved Virginia Feito's debut novel, Mrs. March. So I obviously had to read her second novel. A governess, a mansion, secrets, and mass murder. What's not to love?

RAISED BY GHOSTS by Briana Loewinsohn: a poignant semi-autobiography on her struggles to connect & her absent family. Written as a journal/scrapbook, the notes and ephemera from the 1990s evoke a distinct sense of place while connecting readers to lasting adolescent truths. #LibFaves25
