I got a new box yesterday when Bluesky wasn't working. I sniffed the contents before mum took them out. I then sat in and lay down in the box itself. The crinkly padding paper was very nice. Ella said it was a 9/10 box.

Wow… within a year gas has risen over a dollar a gallon here at home, encroaching $4/gal. Traveling is now becoming more and more difficult, even within my own state. I have to fill my tank at least once a week, so it’s about $160/mo now for me just in gas. That is insane. 🤯 ⛽️ 🚗 💰

The next pic is Ukrainian Easter bread, called Paska. My maternal grandfather was Ukrainian, and grandma learned to make Ukrainian foods. I got my love of baking from grandma. I feel connected to her when I make these things. My grandpa didn't think we would carry on the tradition after he died. 2/

(Today I did one of my favourite things: I baked for my family. My maternal grandmother taught me to make these things. The first pic is her cheesecake. The recipe (a handwritten teasure) has my favourite ingredient measurement: 1/2 eggshell of water. I have been making it since 1993. 1/
