This #MarathonMonday, we hear from John, a 52-year-old based near Milton Keynes. 2026 marks ten years since John’s father passed after battling Parkinson’s for over a decade. “I was really keen to do something to honour his memory and to make a real difference," he says. (1/3)

Running the London Marathon has been over 10 years in the making for Andy McHendry, a 64-year-old retiree who lives outside of Glasgow. “I’ve been trying to get a place on the ballot for over a decade,” he says.
