I lost my dad 5 years ago today to pancreatic cancer. It was horrific to witness. But I am comforted to know he’s no longer suffering and would have had a very good laugh about the fact that he died on #WorldCancerDay. Literally can’t make that kinda stuff up.

I encountered an elderly woman with a walker trying to get some exercise today but the person she hired to clear her sidewalk didn’t clear the whole thing. She was frustrated. Mentioned to my family and my oldest son is at her house now shoveling the rest for her. #proudmama

I am a 5’8 ~145 lb adult and I can walk and jump on the snow/ice mix in our yard without breaking it. Mother Nature is awesome!

Took another walk. It seems plows went down a few roads during or pre-sleet and freezing rain and so instead of snow the plowed streets and covered in ice. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The boys want me to make Mr. SC’s cake into a guitar pedal using only buttercream icing. I’m not confident this is doable but we’re gonna have fun trying.

Sounds like the sleet portion of the storm has begun. This ought to be a great layer over the ~2-4 packed inches of snow where the plows went by earlier. Looked like we got about 9-10” and I’m guessing the plows just didn’t get around to a second pass yet.
