I feel like I’m living in a rainforest. Thankfully, I think today is the last day of this weather pattern. I was not meant to live in a rainforest.

Imagine my surprise when I chose a route that had a yard with out-of-season decor and discovered not only the skeleton I knew I’d find in one yard, but some pumpkins and an appliance on the curb in two other yards along the way. #runchathunt #fun #runchat

I made Sunday dinner on Monday and I have to say, I nailed it. Balsamic spinach and Asiago cheese-stuff flat iron steak, mashed potatoes and homemade brownies with ice cream for dessert. Sad I didn’t take a photo because the beef was pretty.

Me and my neighbors are protesting a new large data center in our county. It has nothing to do with China and everything to do with environmental justice and quality of life in our communities. Americans don’t want data centers. See Memphis and Louisville for examples of why.

Extended family used to laugh at how I basically narrated my day to the boys and didn’t dumb down the words but I swear it works.

Our friends’ 15 year old daughter told me I looked great and like I was in my 20s and she made my whole night!

Heading to a high school graduation party for our friends’ son tonight. The first of two families whose sons we’ve known since our oldest was in pre-K and it’s wild to think they’re heading off to college and our oldest is only 3 years behind them.

Streaming a show and I keep getting Botox ads and I wish there was a way to tell the algorithm it’s a hard no, never ever, for me. If for no other reason than I hate needles but also because I’m cool with laugh lines and crow’s feet. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a pro-move and I can also attest to how much these things grow over time, especially when family members are chipping in a little at birthdays and holidays.

Enjoying a wonderful weekend! Made up a Mother’s Day 10K trail run for myself yesterday while my son was at dance practice, then enjoyed a leisurely bike ride with Mr. SC today. It poured on my run and sounded so gorgeous, but Bluesky won’t let me share video and photos at the same time.

Sitting outside sipping coffee and listening to birds and Jonas Hellborg and I may not move for the rest of the day.

My family bought me flowers that came with a card they were supposed to put their photo in, but they decided I see them enough so opted for Gritty instead. 😂 Love these goofballs to the moon and back and am glad I took a chance at being a mom.

Fun fact: I’ve never once gone to brunch on Mother’s Day and don’t care to. I actually really enjoy doing breakfast together at home in our pajamas with my favorite music playing as we cook together. Also used to love camping do Mother’s Day when the boys were younger.
