Yesterday, I spent the first day of fall seaside. Went swimming for about 20 minutes. Ocean swimming around here is the best in September. Reminds me of being a kid in the Cove. Nothing like being near the sea.

Had a mini reunion last night on the waterfront with ladies who currently work in media and those of us who used to and I can tell you - we never ran out of conversation (big surprise) or laughs or smiles. I have known most of these women since the late 80s/90s. Lucky me. ❤️

Today is my new year. I absolutely love July and August but the run between September 1 and January 1 is my fav, and it’s officially time to ramp things up! Goo, the cat, did not get the memo and is still in full-on lazy days of summer. I get that and I support her in that! 👏📚

Sending love out into the heavens today for the late Theresa Marie Ella Landry - who died this day in 2018. Above all, my mother loved her family, and she truly adored Laura. She saw Laura graduate from high school and died about 7-8 weeks after. She is dearly loved & missed.

My late summer garden includes 4 pots of these fall beauties which are kind of my replacement for mums (I have those, too) and are now my garden favourite. The pollinators absolutely love them. Bought them at Oceanview Home & Garden. My love of flowers came from my late mother.
