So this website popped up... Apparently, there's a "right way" to respond to someone's death when they're part of MAGA. They're using this to try and get people targeted by their hate and fired. I'm not even in the US, but this is terrifying amongst everything else going on in the world.

Suicide Prevention Day ; I know talking and selfcare aren't going to fix anything. Neither are self compassion or finding joy in the little things. But it can be a start to finding ways of managing and coping, to then tackle the environment that's causing distress.

Autistic humans aren’t “bad at boundaries”. We were taught early to ignore ours - to comply, to appease, to perform. Then blamed when we couldn’t honor others. We need to be learn on our own that boundaries as crucial - for us and for everyone. And we must point out the system as well.

Self care is important. However, it isn't a fix. You can't self care your way out of: 💚 Oppression 💚 Abuse 💚 The patriarchy 💚 A toxic environment 💚 Disability or chronic illnesses

I have a confession.... 🙃 As a therapist, I really like people and learning about their uniqueness. I think people are incredible in our diversities and resilience to hardship. But as a human, I really dislike how humanity treats others, our wildlife, and the earth in general. #counsellor

September is a month of raising awareness for suicide prevention and chronic pain and illnesses, too. Which is fitting, as the suicide rates for those with chronic illness can be up to 9x higher than the national average.

Also linked to non-monogamy, too. There is a stigma that if you're bi, you must be polyamorous or going to cheat...which is absolutely not the case! And this is jist one example. I touch on this in my CPD course.
