Forget it, Jake, it’s Chinatown… Tonight was the last of the classic films seen theatrically for a while - believe it or not, I’d never actually seen the whole film, just clips here and there over the years… Certainly makes certain references in RANGO make a whole lot more sense now… :)

Spent a lot of time in the movie theater this weekend - Regal's been showing lots of classic movies one a day this month... 2001 was slightly disappointing - version they showed was letterboxed in a 16:9 frame, but shown on a 2.35:1 screen, so it was essentially windowboxed on the larger screen...

Was doing some cleanup, found a tie bar I’d thought lost… Shame I hardly ever have need for a tie anymore…

15 years ago, we visited The World's Largest Treehouse - it *was* in Crossville TN, but burned down under suspicious circumstances in 2019. Almost 100' tall, built over a decade with donated and scrap lumber. Filled with many rooms, levels, secret passages - it's a shame it's gone.

Weird - some guy in Pakistan is claiming on LinkedIn to have run my call center since 2012... I don't have a call center. I don't have employees. I have no idea who this guy is. LinkedIn is supposedly going to take it down - would have preferred immediately, but hey, if it works, it works...

Saw WALTZING WITH BRANDO tonight before it leaves town - Billy Zane really channels Brando well, and his Godfather-era impression was uncanny… towards the end, it’s not sure if it wants to be a documentary or a narrative film based on real events, but it was worth seeing…

This one's kinda weird - yes, the original cartoon is public domain, but the lawfirm created an entirely new animation based on it, not just using the public domain clips - which is where it gets murky, to me...

Still can’t quite believe this is a real movie, but the fact that Spaceballs 2 decided to unveil its cast by spoofing the Force Awakens table read photo (*and* by putting a pizza on a chair in tribute to the late great Pizza the Hutt) is an encouraging sign. screencrush.com/spaceballs-2...
