Very excited about this double feature I planned a week from Sunday as a prelude to Season 7 of Independent Film Festival Ypsilanti (iFFY)! Two great, lo-tech classics from 1990s weirdo San Francisco. I'm moving away after the fest in April, so I'm hoping this season serves as my "grand exit".

Forgot this was on YouTube. Even though it was only a few years ago and it's still a real danger, something about revisiting home streaming from the (tail end of the) COVID era seems distant, voyeuristic, unseemly. Also, though, watching this is making me want to revisit parts of my approach here.

Apple & Google removed ICE tracking apps in their app stores. TikTok reportedly suppressed videos criticizing ICE & the shooting of Alex Pretti. Meta blocked Facebook groups tracking ICE & links to a database of agents that the government wants to keep secret. Big Tech is enabling Trump's regime.

"Abolish ICE" is the only correct position but "make ICE pay for medical treatment at the children's concentration camp" might be a more effective compromise than "QR codes for kidnappers" considering 1 in 12 Americans are pissed off and depressed about their own crushing medical debt.

ICE agents are America's failures, basically indistinguishable from lazy school shooters, losers who want to play Call of Duty on our streets against people who can't fight back. They have unlimited ammo and toss tear gas like they're pressing L1. They have to be defunded and jailed. All of them.

I liked 'Eraserhead' on a small screen, but I didn't fully absorb it until a VERY loud theatrical screening in 2010. About ⅔ in, I was convinced I had the flu and tried to leave, but my gf at the time wouldn't let me. I was disoriented, nauseous, sweating. Five minutes after leaving, I was fine.
