When the many wicked pacts of the fae run rampant, inevitably, total war of a kind yet unseen will be unleashed. It's not the arch fae drafted into the whimsical trenches between seasonal courts. it's pixies, sprites and whisps fighting their wars, catching stray spells. The can only end tragically.

The co-DM thing w/o clear rules is so wild to me. Ep 8 is so funny & charming (& soul crushing), but I feel like I was allowed to grab the DM hat too many times for, what was, Keith's session It's a testament to our improv group mind that we kept arriving at delightful places regardless

Episode 9 drops next week so make sure you're caught up! Colfax accidentally does evil and it's a big deal. Super big. You don't want to miss out on this teenage angst.

Episode 8 could have been called "no good deed goes unpunished," but then I was worried that people would stop doing good deeds entirely for fear of being punished and that is just not something that I need on my conscience

This weird dynamic began to emerge where we'd still think we were playing normal DND, and, after being given a challenge by the DM we'd ask their character what they thought about it. We weren't trying to cheat the system, we were just too collaborative for our own good

People often ask us: why should we listen to your DND podcast out all all of the DND podcasts out there? WELL... Did we mention that our show has the heart & soul of a 90's after school special... but with swearing?

When editing I need to remind myself that Duelgeon Masters is a process podcast Keith and I discover together and you all get to be along for the ride Sometimes I get frustrated with myself, but we always get there & I think that's the joy of it... as much as I wanna yell at my past self sometimes

Alturon in episode 7 was such a joy. I love a spooky voice. It did seriously hurt my vocal chords for the rest of the day, though.

Editing these episodes it's wild to see the progression that we go through. We're discovering character, learning how to share dm focus while still holding on to our ideas, and trying to make it all fit in meaningful hour long chunks. Keith and I don't do DND by half measures, that's for certain.

Something I love about DND is the complete spectrum of roleplaying. You could say "frankly my dear I don't give a damn" or you could say "My character twirls their magnificent cape, stalking away, before tilting their head backwards, tears in their eyes - frankly my dear I don't give a damn"

Since everything is made up on the fly there's so much joy when Keith and I are on the same page. Martin's story in 4-6 was such a seminal moment for feeling like we really had something. And it was so beautiful and then immediately overshadowed by Hjolrim's blossoming gambling addiction

I think that it sometimes surprises Keith that Colfax's patron unicorn is kind of blood thirsty but then she was introduced having gored a bunch of brigands while saving Colfax so, like, did you just forget this part of my backstory???

Everything in life is improved with frogs. They're so perfect

The thing I love most about episode 5 is the pacing. It's not only action packed but Keith and my back and forth really starts to click. Trying to balance the in character, out of character, and DM voice was the hardest part and it was so gratifying to feel it come together.
