It looks like I may have 4-5 more surgeries in my future, all spaced 3 months apart. Well over a year of recovering. I don't want to give up my only passion during this, so I'm going to start hauling my entire PC/tablet set up in a suit case when I travel out of state for weeks.

Get to go home in a week. Can't wait to draw again 😭

I know this is a dark time for the arts but I also want to let you know that there are lots of creatives that are doing well! When I reach out to hire artists I OFTEN get turned down b/c they are booked solid, or swamped with work. It's not a hopeless field! People need art and we shouldn't give up!

i know to many it's a job, but comics demand a nuclear amount of energy, usually provided by one person working alone, that is so misunderstood and unmatched lol

I truly enjoy making fan comics. I do. I know if I just made original content I could try and make a name for myself, but for how much work comics are, and how much dedication they take, I cannot force myself to make something I'm not passionate about. And fan comics is where my passion is.

So I got ten pages of my comic update done before leaving for surgery. When I get back home i should only have 5 more pages to draw before I can post. Despite the disruption my constant surgeries are, I'm not as behind schedule as I thought I would be.

Ive been working on my Mario comic saga since 2023, and 2 years into the BTB sequel. Probably have two more years to go until its finished. I'm really proud of myself for sticking to this, even with full color making it take twice as long as it should.
