The bot doch-alle-menner.bsky.social I complained about renamed itself to anti-endo-cis-men.bsky.social with only an "apology" posted that explicitly excluded "Endo CIS Men" and today the account is deactivated, not suspended! In ~2 weeks with many reports @bsky.app did not manage to ban a hate-bot.

I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

I am rather disappointed with @bsky.app. In my Discover feed I get people hating on men, who follow the bot doch-alle-menner.bsky.social whose only purpose is to post CIS Men hating replies, including posts that call for CIS Men to get punched in the face. Moderation is not reacting to reports.

While Bluesky has good ideas, the possibility to outsource critical thinking by subscribing to block/mute lists I am sceptical about. People often do not react to reality, but to their own opinions and prejudice, reading into posts what was not said.

Great, are some folks really so uptight to flag @thedevil.bsky.social as Spam and @bsky.app really goes through with it while keeping antisocial mute lists up that just arbitrarily lump people together (e.g. Furries for being Furries)?

I like my retro games with CRT filters. CRTs are a thing of the past and I rather try to replicate the old look on modern tech that is readily available. If you like your games pixel perfect without any filters, that's good and valid, for my taste that looks raw, though.

I am going to buy a Retrotink 4k when it becomes available. Already have a 5x Pro and never regretted the purchase. Mike Chi does amazing work and properly supports his creations. After all these years the 5x Pro is still getting new features via firmware updates.

In May 2022 my MEGA65 arrived. Trenz Electronic and the MEGA Team did an outstanding job recreating the 80s Christmas Morning feel with a proper box and printed manual. Since then a highly compatible C64 Core was released, unlocking the full Commodore 64 library while the MEGA65 Core is a new [1/2]

This Psycho Fox probably spent quite some time in a dusty basement, the cotton pads turned dark brown. But look at it now! PCB and pins cleaned, pins treated with protective chems that keep oxidation away and some dash board polish for the cart.

Four years ago, with this last one cartridge I got my childhood collection of Master System games back together. 37 years old and still a beauty that deserved some care and cleaning.

60Hz mod of my v1.3 SEGA Master System Power Base. Nearly all PAL games run ~16% too slow (25 vs 30 fps) and this allows to simply switch between PAL and PAL-60. The expansion bay was never used, so it is the perfect spot for a switch. No need to mod the case.

I expanded my VR flight sim setup with a Virpil Control Panel 3, to have more axis levers for engine management in helicopters and warbirds in #DCS. For #X-Plane 12 I use a Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and the throttle setup is more than enough for civilian aviation, too. Hobbies grow over the years =)

I don't need many batteries, but am getting some good charger and rechargables now that are rated for at least 2000 cycles. Never run out of batteries and it's better for the environment and wallet in the long run.
