Ancient home video of me as a child has surfaced. There was clearly, ahem, some tension between what the adults wanted from me in them and what I as a little kid wanted to do. This culminated in a performance straight out of the dance scene in Dogtooth. Hilarious and remarkable. Left me kinda proud

Went to visit the cottage where Coleridge and his wife Sarah lived for 3 years. It was fun to see, though it left me thinking that: 1, being the subject of reverence in your lifetime and beyond is just bad for people. 2, I kinda felt sorry for Coleridge. 3, I felt extra sorry for his wife.

Well this is horrific but in ‘autism awareness month’, we should prob be aware there’s a whole industry built around poisoning autistic kids in the name of ‘curing’ them, because apparently many people still think this is an ok thing to want. As Robert Evans says in Pt 2: “Maybe just love them??”

On this day around 20 years ago my cousin and I invented Skills Day: where you choose a skill (eg learn a language, martial art, cooking etc) and give yourself until next Skills Day to see how you got on. I think it’s telling that I do not have 20 new skills. However, what would you pick?

I love that feeling when Spring shows its face again. Been for a sunny walk, went to a market, got veg biryani and a rubicon for lunch (rubicon reminds me of growing up in West London because I used to drink it all the time) and now have a free afternoon to do some writing. Perfect ☺️
