Emory Hillandale is a great hospital. It is a community hospital that serves the needs of people and neighborhoods who had little access to major medical services. I believe most of the negative sentiments are drenched in internalized racism and racist stereotypes of black communities. Forget them.

It never baffled me, those not voting for Kamala Harris because of her actions on Gaza. As a dear friend shared: “people think the fat meat ain’t greasy”. The fat is both sitting out the election and pulling a Hillary Clinton circa 2016. People were delusional to think he would stay out of Gaza.

This. I’ve often seen people called out for not speaking about something on social media while aware that they were offering important behind-the-scenes support that a public statement would jeopardize. Folks need to be more careful about what they think they know. There are multiple lanes.

I agree. Social media has necessitated a new organized culture of rebel trousers. I trust the people to stand up against the Trump administration. The 21st century offers a range of approaches to political resistance. Do as you can and see fit, but do stand against legalized reverse discrimination.

In the Trump-era labor market, the least cantankerous way to put food in your belly is by creating and selling your own products within an ever-expanding network of friends. Black political empowerment must make a comeback—not through self-reliance, but through grounding your social networks.
