This is an emergency situation and the cats need to be placed ASAP. @rocketcatrescue.bsky.social is willing to take some of the special needs cats but we need fosters for either them or some of the existing cats in our program.

There is another rescue local to us that is shutting down and we could really use some fosters- looking for people within reasonable driving distance of Suisun City, CA (must be willing to travel to Vacaville for vet appointments) all supplies will be be covered.

In a bit of good news, Charcoal, our resident CH cat/Halloween toy is off with a foster on a foster to adopt contract! We are very excited for both her and her new mom and hoping to continue hearing good things!

It has been a rough week. We had to say goodbye to the OG, the leader of the tribe, Space Ghost (coast2coast). 11 years was longer than we thought we would get. But also still not long enough for all the love in that boy. He is what inspired us to get into rescue, and inspired our logo.

11 years ago it all began with two little kittens. Happy 11th birthday to SpaceGhost and Zorrak, the dynamic duo that sent us into cat rescue adventure land. 🧡

Apparently today is “International Cat Rescue Day” what a great time to consider supporting us in our mission.

Up at the veterinary neurologist for a consult for Teddy. They want to do an MRI on him and a spinal tap to try to get to the bottom of his seizures and abnormal gait. Waiting on the estimate before we can start figuring out what we need to raise.

Teddy is also going to see a neurologist in the morning for his seizures, and my 15 year old personal cat w/ kidney disease needs to see the vet too. We’re dealing with a lot right now. Have a curly Ann Purrkins belly for your time:

So we were very pleased that Sparrow was adopted & has a great new home! However, 8 days after making it to his new home, he developed a urinary blockage and had to be rushed to an emergency vet. We offered to help because it happened so soon after adoption, but somehow the estimate it up to 15k?

This guy is seeing a cardiologist on Thursday to find out more about his heart condition. We were hoping he’d grow out of the murmur (or that it was virally induced) but at this point it’s almost certainly a structural issue. I’m hoping it’s relatively benign or something that can be treated.

That’s just her resting face, by the way- she was surrendered by a steel mill when she had to have her eyes removed because it wasn’t safe for her to be an office cat there anymore. Her enucleation seems to have pulled the skin back a bit too tight around her mouth, so she’s always smiling.

Here is Ann Purrkins very proudly grooming a napping Goomba. She might not have teef but she is the best groomer in the house! Goomba usually doesn’t let other cats groom her but she occasionally makes exceptions for Ann. XD

OH the glow in the dark gamer pride charms are also new!! ...I added a lot of new stuff!!! I also finally restocked the catsuobushi/bonito flakes

I also made some Wicked themed charm bracelets and keychains as well. (ALL SALES PROFITS GO TO THE RESCUE!) I saw the musical again in October for the first time in UHHHH... LIKE 20 years and I was INSPIRED!!!

oh...can't forget my hand painted potato keychains!!!! XD

Oh and I customized some DELUXE CAT COLLARS with 5 swappable collar charms and matching keychains for the human in the cat's life. XD

I also added some mini subtle Bi pride beaded charms too!

In anticipation for Valentine's Day, I also made some heart/love themed Lesbian Pride beaded charms (or keychains, I modify them for free if people want them to have different attachments.) :3

I assembled and added a TON MORE collar charms (which are also just good mini charms in general for attaching to almost anything.)
