Experienced Christopher Eccleston perform Peter Flannery's 'The Name of That Song' monologue this afternoon. Really special way to spend a Sunday and so thrilling witnessing Chris embody a role in front of my eyes rather than on screen.

Revisiting Christopher Eccleston's excellent autobiography 'I love the bones of you' this week. First read on publication, so many lovely compliments for Billie, although this bit now has a bit of new meaning 😂 Billie Piper? The Doctor? Could anyone picture that? 👀

The U-16 social media ban does concern me. Restrictions are absolutely required but prohibiting use entirely is not the way. If I didn't start reviewing when I did, sharing my interests, I fundamentally believe I wouldn't have found a voice to pursue higher education.

Yesterday I finished @anncleeves.bsky.social 'The Killing Stones' 📚 Once more, blown away by the attention to character but especially the vivid geography & inter-relationships. Having not read Shetland (yet) I feel I shouldn't have connected with this one as much? But I absolutely did.

Continuing Doctor Who S21 with 'The Awakening' after seeing Warriors at the BFI. I know nothing about this one, never seen it, it's very odd so far? I think I'm enjoying it but I have absolutely no idea what's going on? The locals are a bit weird.

If you aren't drinking all beverages out of this not at all unsettling vessel today you are not a proper Doctor Who fan. Just saying. You can't argue with the rules.

Absolutely love how Ol'Sixie has been incorporated into the design. Peter remains the focus but Six gets nice rep on box, booklet & discs AND 'Twin' has a new documentary. It doesn't just feel tacked on? Six feels a very much part of this so now all 80s docs have 3 sets each 🥺

Probably my favourite new BBC show since Ludwig in 2024. Beautifully produced, heartfelt music, a fantastical tale of Grief, friendship & a good laugh too. I'm not one for "binge" viewing but I was so taken by this story I finished it very quickly. Highly recommend.

Feel insanely lucky to have witnessed Jodie Comer herself performing 'Prima Facie' last night. This production, it's story, has captivated me for years. Watched the cinema screening multiple times, stream version & the book but seeing it with my own eyes? INSANE!

For those who enjoy The Ninth Doctor 'Cloud Eight' released today, there is so so SO MUCH More to explore in these 4 really impressive TORCHWOOD stories. 'Grey Mare' is one of the best hours of @bigfinish.bsky.social - recommend all of these.

Tegan! A visibly different destroyed dalek, new accessories and an episode-specific background for the box. This is the type of set I'm easily happy to spend £44.99 on with that balance between collectors level niche but a sprinkle of play value too? Very FP exclusive in spirit.

Doctor Who Charity Shop find: Two 1995 'Missing Adventures books! I don't actually think I've ever seen a book from this line in the flesh outside maybe conventions? So a nice unexpected find.

Definitely recommend checking out 'Red Eye' on ITV, notably produced between Sony Pictures & Bad Wolf. A great example of a multi-part drama. Perhaps the way forward for Doctor Who? (Also bring Lesley Sharp back to DW) Oh AND... Ian Arber's music is very notable 👀
