Had to postpone my planned syd half marathon this weekend due to doctor's orders. Disappointing waste of dumb sunglasses, but will find a new event soon. Luckily I always have a ridiculous side quest ready to go. This is from Feathered Friends bird sanctuary in Bargo.

Also while everything continues to be awful, autumn is quite nice. This morning on my commute (6°C) I saw more Canberrans in shorts (5) than in puff (2). Good.

Just had to cancel my entry to Sunday's Sydney half marathon due to health issues. Three months of wasted prep, but also a really strong investment in ridiculous sunnies so who can say if it's bad overall.

Great morning out on the water, timed it to come back with the outgoing tide like the non-athlete I am. Never seen so many fish before, ridiculous numbers. Also paddled past at least 50 stingrays. I guess I'm over that lifetime phobia now, they're pretty cute. Also said hi to pied oystercatcher 😍

Clifftop stop 9km into the dress rehearsal for next week's event. I'm seriously running out of ways to look more ridiculous. (front facing camera couldn't handle the sun, so arm cam!)

I could make fun of preppers but I just defrosted some hot cross buns and maybe they have a point.

When I was a kid and we'd get to the coast late at night, my parents would conduct an elaborate "spider check" on my room before I was allowed to go to bed. It was announced, checked for spiders, then declared clear and everyone went to bed. Uber should obvs diversify. I want spider checks on call.
