I absolutely hate how everything online is a video now. I needed to google how to reprogram my garage door keypad, and it was almost impossible to find a website with the three simple written-out steps that would take 10 seconds to read. Instead it was all 3-minute videos with pointless intros.

How do podcasts actually make money from advertising when the only ads I ever hear are for other podcasts? Is this because Canadian advertisers don't advertise on podcasts? Is it different when you listen in other countries?

Near as I can tell, the shortest distance across Canada, from Stanley Park in Vancouver to the Cape North Lighthouse at the tip of Cape Breton, is 6255 km. This morning I just passed that distance with my cycling kilometres so far this year.
