I tried making bagels from scratch today. Emphasis on "tried". All you bakers out there, what did I screw up? They taste ok, but the texture is very chewy and they feel in the oven. The dough was very wet and sticky. I'm ok with "wrong" answers too, as long as they make me laugh.
