Here is a timelapse of 40 images of #Jupiter taken with my C8 and 224MC camera from last night. The frames are on the bottom. I started around 10PM and ended around 1:30AM, right after the Big Red Spot's transition. The frame is given in the text. #astrophotography

I am taking a series of Jupiter shots tonight with my C8 with an inexpensive 2x barlow. This is an initial process of one of my first videos. Camera is ZWO 224MC. Hopefully, I can get a nice timelapse. #astrophotography

I like imaging M78, but I'm never really satisfied with it. This is 14 hours of data (11 L, 3 RGB) using my 294MM pro and Sharpstar 130-HNTAL from Bortle 6/7. It's as decent a shot as I have ever got, but light pollution really holds it back, imo. #astrophotography @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social

I'm doing more tests with narrowband filters. This is only around 3-4 hours of data on NGC 7822 (80mm doublet, 294MM camera, ~6nm SHO filters). Ha is really carrying the image. I wish I had about 10x more integration time, but doesn't everybody! #astrophotography @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social

Doing some more testing of the Sharpstar 130 HNT on the horsehead. This is actually an SHO image, but black and white (I didn't feel like processing color... am lazy). It's only about 1 hour total (20 minutes per filter). Some weird halos and reflections, but overall not to bad. #astrophotography

I've been having fun with the Sharpstar 130 hyperbolic newtonian. This is 2.5 hours of data from a Bortle 6 under about a 50% illuminated moon. Collimation isn't quite perfect, and there is a bit of tilt, but it's a fun little scope that takes a bit to get used to. #astrophotography

NGC 281 (aka the Pacman Nebula) in SHO. It's about 20 hours total integration time taken with an f/6 scope and 294MM camera. There are a ton of galaxies in this image. In the middle are NGC 6045 and 6047. If you zoom in and look, there are edge on galaxies, interacting galaxies, merging galaxies. It's a galaxy extravaganza! #astrophotography

NGC 6384 is such a beautiful galaxy, and a great example of an intermediate barred spiral. I got around 14 hours of integration time at f/10 with my Celestron C8. It's still too noisy at the edges, and definitely needs more time. #Astrophotography
