As someone who is AroAce, flagging whole arse accounts as STRICTLY NSFW completely ruins the tagging system we already have. Like no, I don't want to see explicitly NSFW adult content on my feed, but I also don't want to play NSFW roulette with a ton of warnings on benign posts either.

Like, what's under there? Is it a risque pinup drawing, which I'm fine with seeing? Is it a giant ejaculating wiener, which I don't want to see? Surprise! It's neither! It's a regular text post complaining about this change being really poorly implemented! :(

Yo @bsky.app this new nsfw filter is horrible. It hides whole accounts, I have to click through a censor bar to see what a friend thought of a movie because a year ago they drew a butt? We already had content filters, this just makes the site unusable and deters a chunk of your audience from posting

Please set your adult content moderation to warn. The auto mod frequently misidentified adult content, appeals are often ignored or denied. If my entire account is labeled adult because I post artistic nudity and your moderation is set to hide you will not be able to see anything from my account

Like it was super apparent the sexism generated from the jealous rumormill dudes (making her out like shes crazy and ghost obsessed) when dudes just hated that she treated her staff really well and paid them VERY WELL and yet these dudes couldnt understand why her staff were all "fiercely loyal" XD

Labeling an entire account as adult content and hiding everything hurts way more than it helps. This is going to hurt the reach of adult accounts who have every right to be seen, especially when we can already label individual posts. This is nannying that handicaps our ability to reach our audience.

I've said this about "furry art" which is another thing I hear. I always tell them "they can tell if you aren't one of them and if you don't commit this isn't gonna go the way you think."

At any gathering of artists these days someone is bound to say something to the effect of “I’m about ready to start drawing *porn* and raking in the big bucks!” And I promise you it doesn’t work like that. It’s just as much of a hustle and grind as any other subject matter.
