I’m on the mend so I’ll get back to the comic blog posting next week. I’m finally starting to come out of this.

I’ve been dealing with an ear infection for over a week, the first antibiotic I got sent me into 72 hrs of chronic migraine pain, at first I thought it was my ear infection but by Sunday I released it was the medicine, I thought I’d get over it, tried to ignore it thinking eventually it would pass.

I’m battling and cold and possible ear infection brewing ( and I lost my health insurance at work yay!) no blog post again this week, I’ve been working because I can’t call out so my plan the next 4 days is to sleep and try to recover.

I did my taxes this evening and I was so anxious ( I surprise owed last year) so I thought I would owe again. With relief I did not, and my Fed was already accepted too. My anxiety caused me to feel absolutely exhausted. My refresher was some ice tea and making cute art!

I wish that new comic creators who want artists to work for them understood that payment based on success/ad revenue is a carrot dangling on a stick. If 2 friends decide to make a free comic OK. But if you want a skilled artist to make a successful comic you want to profit on please pay them first.

A panel from page 10 of the issue 4 redraw. I think the OG issue was only 11 pages, and I just started page 11 of the redraw. I’m glad I can finally fill in some information that should’ve been there in the original, but I was focused on short episodes/fast turn around in 2022, the story suffered.

I kind of rushed this but Happy Valentine’s day!

We’re renewing our lease and for the first time since 2012 the place I’m at won’t raise rent! I’ve been facing 50-100.00 rent increases for years. Is it true that things might be getting better? 🤞

I just saw a writer on Reddit who has paid over 60k to have a webtoon made and the artist gave them an AI cover and sequential art that was very generic,boarder line AI - it was just bland. The proof he got that his cover wasn’t AI were blank traced outlines. ( no faces)

I wrote a script out for an anti-ICE comic, its a conversation from my OCs as from their place of safety ( The Universe version of the US) they see everything going on and want to discuss it since Mal is an immigrant, and in the first few AP issues he’s in the US illegally.

Got called into work, I’m staring my work week now and then using that towards getting a sneaky 6 day mini-vacay. Since next week is my ‘ short week’ and I have 4 days off. I have to take the advantage when it pops up.

I’ve been fighting a stomach bug since Sunday, last night I was resting so I have to finish my blog later, Sorry for the delay.

I haven’t been feeling well, once again I hover in a grey area of is it a cold? Is it the flu? I never get worse but when I think I’m better I’m not( sneezing, coughing, or blah) co-workers are sick too and we deal with travelers daily. Hope to get back to feeling normal( ish) soon!

Ended up going into work and filling in on 2nd shift for OT. I got a free dinner paid for by the GM and some extra pay I’ll take it. Now I’m hoping to get some energy to work on comics. Eating birthday cake!
