Redid the overlay routine, so I can rely on a database for each level, instead of piling up exceptions. Some shimmering is unavoidable, even with tile per tile method (sprites are 8x16 though). But I succeeded in using more than 1 color for "blank" background in the factory! #tinytoons #gameboycolor

One last update for now : I wasn't satisfied with Hamton's sprite for the Montana Mash game. Although I had redrawn it already, the fact that he was holding a spoon made his sailor hat out of place. Now he's a cook (had to do deal with the height limit), hope it's better. #tinytoons #gameboycolor

In SGDK, compound sprites might use more CPU due to reasons: - Number of VDP sprites - Number of tiles in the anim frame - Compression method and src GFX itself It all might cause sprites queuing (your anim is postponed by frames), too. A simple benchmark could help u find the lazy anim frames.🤛

Lost control of my life and got an agp Asus A8v deluxe. I'm so happy I have a powerful cpu that supports agp. I'll be able to make some tests with my 9600xt to see how much the atlhon XP limits it. I wish I had more stronger agp cards but sadly they became non existent in Brazil :(
