I’ve been an aviation historian for nearly two decades. I have never, not once, been asked about Amelia Earhart. No one has ever brought it up in a conversation. Let me reiterate: I study aviation history professionally. It has never, ever, ever come up.

I just spent an hour on the phone with a high school student who is working on a project about the B-52 and that is why I LOVE MY JOB.
