The Pokemon Adventures Manga takes some wild swings! It’s a unique and exciting take on the Pokemon world, and one I was quite excited to write about. It’s far from the only manga adaptation of the series, but to talk about them all would probably be a book of its own 😅

Out here exposing my ridiculous spending habits to the world 😂 I love Lego, and I love Pokemon, so of course when the two met I had to find an excuse to write about them!

If you’re like me, you watched the Pokemon films a million times as a kid… then a million more as a 27 year old. I especially loved the first two films, so of course we had to include a chapter about them! I also touch on the Pikachu shorts that preceded each film. Gonna go blast Lugia’s song now.

Our final tease for this week is the chapter about movies. Two big screen adventures launched during Pokemon Generation 1, and both are touched upon in the book. Who remembers going to watch the first movie?

A little later than hoped, but our fifth day tease for our new project is to tell you about another chapter. You see, the book isn't just about the games of Gen 1, it's everything! Joe has a lovely chapter on the anime, and it's got this great scene recreating the Pewter Gym encounter!

We just posted our 2nd update confirming that three of our stretch goals have been met! The last couple days have been incredible, and have me more hyped than ever to get this book in your hands! To everyone who’s supported us so far, thank you so so much! 😊

I’ve been visiting Nintendo Life since 2012, so it’s pretty awesome to see my name appear in an article! Especially when it’s alongside so many incredibly talented writers and artists that helped bring this book to life!

If there’s one thing this book appreciates, it’s good art! Ken Sugimori’s artwork is phenomenal, and this chapter also makes sure to mention the other incredible artists that contributed some of Pokémon’s most iconic creatures! Oh, we’re also now 100% funded! 😁

I’ve been a big fan of the @kindafunnyvids.bsky.social crew for a while now, and one thing that stuck with me was how excited @timgettys.bsky.social would always get about Pokemon. So, I was thrilled that he agreed to write the foreword for the Pokebook, and it’s a really special start to the book!

It's Day 3 of our POKEBOOK Kickstarter, so we wanted to start teasing a little more about what you'll find in inside its pages! The foreword for the book was penned by @kindafunnyvids.bsky.social @timgettys.bsky.social, a lifelong Pokemon fan.

As we roll into the second day of our Kickstarter, we wanted to start teasing more of what is in the book. You can expect to see a chapter on Satoshi Tajiri, exploring the origins and inspiration for Pokemon, and some chatter on games that Game Freak worked on whilst creating their Magnum Opus.

I wrote a book! This is the biggest and best thing I’ve ever worked on. A love letter to Generation 1 and a series that means the world to me. I’m so excited I got to do this, and the art and contributions from other writers are stunning. This really is something special!

One of my favourite things about the Mario Galaxy movie was that there were no force licensed music tracks shoved in there like the first film. Using iconic compositions from the games elevated so many moments!

I am weak. But Yoshi is awesome!

Well that was a delight! 90 minutes of pure fun! Also, really hoping that rumoured Star Fox game is real because this really got me hyped for the character again. Now to spend the rest of the day playing Mario Galaxy 2 😁

Got 15/24 of my Oscar predictions right! Much better than previous years, but then I also managed to watch more of them than usual. Sinners is still my personal Best Picture pick, and Delroy Lindo was absolutely robbed, but overall happy with a lot of the winners - Michael B Jordan especially!
