Last friday one of our lab's Postdocs, Nandita Sharma, presented her "Work in progress" talk at @pasteur.fr Her results deal with the role of bacterial competition in the microbiota and the factors at play determining its outcome. Really cool stuff that we'll be sharing in the near future

We had a blast at the Microbiology department days @pasteur.fr where we got to learn what other people in our department are working on 🤓 The group also got to show some of our work to the whole department ✌️

This week we're saying "bon voyage" to one of our PhD students (Quentin), who'll be leaving us for a few months, and an M2 student (Laura), who's finishing her internship Good excuse to spend some quality time with the whole team outside the lab 😎 Thanks for the hard work!! You'll be missed

ENG- Congratulations are in order for our very own Camille Sivelle, who had her M2 defense today!!🥳 Her work was a thorough study of the emergence of phage resistance in different strains of bacteria, using wet lab methods. We're still not quite sure how she managed to fit all her data in 15 slides

#meettheteam Today we're introducing Nandita Sharma, a Postdoc on the BBH lab and a very important part of our "gut" team She works mainly on Citrobacter (hence the Drigalski agar), using gnotobiotic mouse models and also has experience in CRISPR-Cas systems on Salmonella

This week the BBH is hosting Dinesh Subedi, a postdoc at Monash University and adjunct Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. Today he shared with us his work on the generation of a phage cocktail against Enterobacter cloacae complex, an important nosocomial infection #phagetherapy

TL,DR: Very happy to share our joint investigation (www.nature.com/articles/s41...) with the Weitz’s lab (@joshuasweitz.bsky.social) to understand how alveolar macrophages reduce pulmonary phage therapy efficacy. Congrats to both teams for successfully integrating in vivo and modeling data #phage
